It is really sad to comprehend the natural disaster of heavy rainfall and floods happened in the holy state of Uttarakhand, where many pilgrims went to visit Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. More than 5000 people have been killed, 50000 pilgrims stranded and around 6000 still missing. Those rescued, are kept into shelters without having proper amenities, groceries and medical facilities. About hundreds of children had lost their parents and many had lost their loved ones. Most of the people residing in Uttarkhand have lost their homes and livelihood. Over 400 roads and almost all bridges have been consumed by the landslides. So restoring the old state is likely to pose huge challenge to the authorities and it is our social responsibility to help them.
