Technopark, Trivandrum: As part of Earth day celebrations GGSE (Go Green Save Earth) – an organisation that promotes organic / green – brought together an environmental awareness program in the Technopark campus.
GGSE distributed around 500 kilos of organic watermelon in the Technopark campus as part of the awareness programme. They also planted around 150 plants many of which are of medicinal use. These were planted by M Vasudevan (Business Development Manager, Technopark), Pit Solutions CEO Rafeeq Ahammad and others.
The group also conducted a cycle race for the techies. The program was sponsored by PIT Solutions and SBI while the cycles were sponsored by Athi Cycles.
The GGSE is a group of friends striving to bring about a change in our nature and the way we treat our environment. “One day while we were sitting around it just struck us to do something to protect our environment and that’s how GGSE was born,” says Prasanth, a member. GGSE promotes the usage of green products like jute bags, leaf plates or ‘pala’ plates and so forth.
