MY GUESTS

[ A tribute to my two visitors – a spider and a worm]

Just a glimpse
You grabbed my eyes
Hide-and-seek as it went on.
At last, in solitude appeared
Acquaintance paid, but adversely.
Seemed valorous in slouching posture
Sliding me to vexation.
Versed in weeny webs
Went on weaving all the while.
Involuntarily then,
Commenced dancing, but
Ceased shortly being drowsy.
Serene and secure over there
A score meters away – my foe.
Shorten the distance
With thin long legs
Numbered upto eight: get this idea
Out of head and ponder over another creation.

Arrival of an intruder
– a hindrance to my siesta
Found in sober state
With strong acumen
Silky hair, solemn stare
Could not help utter a scream, that
Paved the way for its funeral.
Ciao my visitors
-forgive me if you can.
