The prestigious film festival of Technopark which has been attracting the film lovers of Trivandrum – “Prathidhwani’s Qisa” is inviting entries from IT employees all over Kerala. The short film festival which is stepping into its 6th edition is conducted by PRATHIDHWANI – the Socio-Cultural & Welfare Organization Since last year, Prathidhwani Qisa Film Festival 2017 ( PQFF 2017) has set the platform for IT employees from over 600 companies in Kerala including Technopark, Infopark and Cyber Park to showcase their talents. The jury consists of National -State award winners Sri Siddartha Shiva, Vidhu Vincent and the acclaimed film critic Sri M F Thomas as the chairman. The last date for submitting the entries is 25th November 2017. The selected films will be screened on 2nd December 2017 at Travancore Hall, Technopark.
Along with mementos, a cash award of Rs 11,111/- awaits the Best Film and Rs 5,555/- each for Second Best Film, Best Script & Best Director respectively. Best Performer (male/female), Cinematographer, Editor, and Music Director will also receive special awards.There’ll be a film review competition along with festival and the details regarding the same will be published on our website soon.
125 short films by the Techies have been premiered in Prathidhwani’s Qisa festivals up till now. The winners received the awards from the acclaimed personalities of the film industry: Sri Shaji N Karun (2012), Sri Vineeth Srinivasan (2013), Sri Adoor Gopalakrishnan (2014), Sri Shyamaprasad (2015), Sri Jayaraj (2016) in previous years.
It’s mandatory that the Director & the scriptwriter should be an employee of an IT company in Kerala. The running time of the film should be between 2 to 45 minutes. Films that participated in previous Qisa festivals will not be considered for this year’s festival.
