STATE BANK OF INDIA (SBI) PROBATIONARY OFFICER (PO) 2014 EXAM PATTERN is divided in Phase I and Phase II round. The phase I round is related to the written test while Phase II is related to the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) which are only conducted for a handful candidates who have been shortlisted after the written test. The written test is further subdivided in objective paper and Descriptive papers. The objective paper will consist of four section including to English language, General Awareness, Data Interpretation & Data Analysis and Logical Reasoning. The descriptive paperwill only have questions related to English subject but the candidate is required to clear in both objective and Descriptive paper separately. The total for which the objective paper and descriptive paper is conducted is 200 marks and 50 marks respectively.

- It is quite evident from the above table that objective paper and Descriptive Paper has English Language section but the difference in both the section is that the candidates will have a choice to select from but in Descriptive section the candidate may be asked to write a piece about any topic mentioned in their own writing.
- The candidate has to clear both the objective and descriptive paper separately and score minimum marks in order to qualify for further selection process.
- For every incorrect answer a certain 1/4th ratio of marks is deducted from the total score of the candidate.
- The number of question in each section will be 50 and marks allotted to each section of objective paper is 50 marks.
NOTE: The SBI authority has been following the above mentioned exam pattern from quite some time and is expected to follow the same exam pattern in SBI PO 2014 exams also. In case there are any changes made, the same will be posted here.
