FOLLOWING IS THE DETAILED PREVIEW OF SBI PO 2014 SELECTION PROCEDURE:
STEP 1: WRITTEN TEST:
The SBI PO 2014 Selection Procedure begins with the candidates appearing for a written test or examwhich is expected to be conducted in January, 2014. The written test will have objective and descriptive paper and the candidates will have to appear for both. The objective paper will have four sections and total time of 2 hours will be allotted to the candidates for attempting the paper whereas, the descriptive paperwill be conducted for 1 hour duration and it will be all about English and it will be conducted to test the candidates knowledge and proficiency in the subject. The candidates are require to obtain minimum passing marks in both the papers in order to move ahead in the selection procedure of SBI PO 2014.
STEP 2: GROUP DISCUSSION (GD) & PERSONAL INTERVIEW (PI):
The next step or phase in SBI PO 2014 selection procedure is related to the group discussion and personal interview. In this phase only the candidates who have been shortlisted from the written test will be eligible to participate. The group discussion will carry 20 marks and personal interview will carry 3o marks. This phase is also crucial for the candidates and along with the written test the candidates are also required to qualify in this round also as it also forms the basis for the final selection.
STEP 3: FINAL SELECTION:
After the successful completion of Phase I and Phase II round of SBI PO 2014 Selection Procedure, the final selection will take place and in this round the written test which is conducted for 250 marks will becut down to 75 marks and Phase II conducted for 50 marks will be brought down to 25 marks and thefinal list is prepared on the basis of aggregate marks after the total marks are cut down or convertedwhich means the total evaluation will be made out of 100 marks. The candidates scoring top marks in merit list will be selected.
