After 28 long years, Kerala is hosting National Games, for the second time in the history of the State. To mark a grand begining to the Country's largest sports event, Govt. of Kerala is all geared up to organise RUN KERALA RUN (RKR ), a mass run on Jan 20th. RKR is organised for the general public and sports fanatics of Kerala to declare solidarity with National Games by being a part of it, and, a big share of the entire population of the state is expected to join this historic run.
About 7000 centres across the state, spanning between Manjeswaram and Parassala have been decided as RKR spots and this event will undisputedly be the biggest ever RUN witnessed by the COUNTRY , by way of people participation. The names of the centres got published in all media and people from all walks of life can participate as groups or individuals. The groups or individuals can join at any of the 7000 centres according to their convenience, and, from each centre, the RUN will cover a distance of 200 metres to one kilometer. Sachin Tendulkar, cricketing legend and Brand Ambassador for National Games will also be a part of the RUN at one of the centres.
The uniqueness of RKR is that Kerala will become united as one and will move as one for the success of this event.
At Technopark :-
On Jan 20th , 2015 , Morning 10 am , Request all Technopark Inmates – Employers , employees , security staff , house keeping and invite each and everyone of you who upholds the spirit of unity & sportsmanship to assemble at Amphitheatre , near Park Centre , Technopark.
at 10 am – All teams assemble at Amphitheatre.
10:15 am – Solidarity Pledge
10:20 am – National Games Theme Song
10:25 am – Divide into two teams. Line up for the RUN.
10:30 am – Start RunKeralaRun
Team One – Will hold the National Games Banner in the front by two runners who will wear the RKR branded T Shirt. This team will run towards main gate from amphitheatre , pass the main gate will run towards kazhakuttom and culminates at Kazhakuttom junction.
Team Two - Will hold the National Games Banner in the front by two runners who will wear the RKR branded T Shirt. This team will run towards Technopark University side gate , pass the gate , run towards the main road, turn right and run towards the Karyavattom University Stadium and culminates at the Stadium.
Its an voluntary act , Companys can carry their banners in solidarity for National Games and can even run in their Company T Shirts in groups.
