Moment

I was standing at the doorsteps

Letting him go in front of my eyes

My vision was blurred

The salty water that was precipitating from my eyes

I asked him not to go

In return, he just looked into my eyes and smiled

He went away from me like sand slips from hand

The tighter you try to hold, the faster it goes.

I knew I am losing him, but had no control

The only thing I knew was that I won’t get him back

Never ever ever

It is funny, what we want the most is what leaves us

Behind, and doesn’t turn back to see us again

I wanted him back, but I’ll never get him.

I know and I try to convince me, but futile.

He is none other than time.

But sometimes it is better to let him go

Rather than holding him

The wound that he gave me

Can only be healed if he goes away

Far far away.

And once he is gone, that far that I can’t even see his trace

The wound he gave will get healed

With a scar.

Scar remains for a long time

A long long time.

He changes people, their mind, their decision

He, in fact, erases the existence of a person

Today I am here around 150 people.

Tomorrow maybe I won’t be or they won’t be

Nor will he.

He is the one who never waits

Never ever for anyone.

He is the one who goes but is still there.

We all know this second just passed away

But till the time we think of that passed second

A new one arrives and passes, making the passed second older

New second comes and comes

So do everything.

He is none other than time.

Some were missing the most delightful time they had

Some were living in that time

Some were excited about the upcoming phase of their life,

The moment they realize they are enjoying

That phase of life is over.

He is gone, far far away.

Like he always does.

He left many at their doorsteps

With eyes full of tears.
