WHEN LIFE AND NUMBERS MET
Life seems to be all about numbers!
Breaths and beats all are numbers,
Dates and years all have some stories to tell.
Connecting the dots one by one
To figure out what life offers
To count ups and downs, slopes and intercepts
To measure degree of turns and curves
Appears to be endless unfathomed blues
Just like numbers, between two is infinite!
No one else other than your soul
Knows how huge that sum is
The distance you crawled, you jumped
The long path no equations can deduce.
Alas! Why life pacing like progression of decimals?
Wailing some, when it offers bitter and tears.
Ah! Why life galloping like an exponent of tens?
Astounding others, when it offers sweet and joy.
What all own is one life
This 'one' with many digits and figures
Some worth to be valued, but no one counts
Some just trashy, but many embracing
No one values what to be valued
Counting the wealth, jewels and medals
Days here are counted, though many forget.
Count your deeds, hands you reached and smile you offered
Start it over, if it’s zero.
To fill some null set with priceless numbers!
And to feel the numbers that are serene, awe and bliss!
